Economic Inequality and Class
As a leading art college in the heart of Chicago, SAIC students study issues of economic equality with Chicago as their classroom. SAIC offers a number of courses that give students the tools to develop as social activists in their community. Courses in Sculpture, Film, Video, New Media, and Animation, Art Education, Visual and Critical Studies, and other departments take students on the CTA, to local prisons, and other communities to explore homelessness, incarceration, food resources, access to education, and other inequities around class.
